Through our tuition assistance programs, we are committed to supporting families that want to provide a Jewish education for their children.
Tuition Assistance
Inclusion and shared responsibility are at the heart of Paul Penna DJDS. To support families seeking a Jewish education, we offer comprehensive scholarship programs funded through UJA Federation contributions and our annual fundraising initiatives. Supported by the dedicated leadership of our Board of Directors and Advancement Committee, these subsidies help bridge the operational gap and ensure a welcoming, inclusive home for every student.
The process for applying for and assessing scholarships is highly confidential. Details of the application are processed through the secure JCAP portal and reviewed for accuracy and completeness by an outside accountant with complete anonymity.
Our school’s Scholarship Programs provide tuition assistance for all students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 8. Paul Penna DJDS is proud to partner with UJA Federation and participate in both the traditional tuition assistance program and Generations Trust, opening tuition support options for families with multiple children in the Jewish day school system from JK through high school. The application process is open to families in the fall before JK entry and applications are due in February alongside enrollment for the next school year.

If you have not qualified in the past for tuition assistance or even considered the possibility of tuition support, a Generations Trust Scholarship may be an option to explore.
Paul Penna DJDS is proud to be a participating school in UJA’s Generations Trust Scholarship, making Jewish day school more affordable for families in our community.
The Generations Trust Scholarship can help many families that may not qualify for traditional tuition assistance for a variety of reasons. If you have not qualified in the past or have not previously considered that this may be an option for your family, now is the time to explore a Generations Trust Scholarship.
Administered through UJA, the Generations Trust Scholarships can be accessed on the UJA Day School Scholarships page. The application is simple and if your family qualifies, your tuition will be capped at a fixed percentage of your gross household income. The program is available to all families with children in Kindergarten through Grade 12 attending a participating Jewish day school in Toronto, including those with children at multiple Jewish day schools or at TanenbaumCHAT.
