FIELD TRIPS

Field trips figure prominently in the life of all Paul Penna DJDS students, with our unique location at the corner of Bloor and Spadina acting as an extended classroom for experiential learning.

Throughout the year, students can easily travel by foot or TTC to a range of local parks, the ROM, Philosopher’s Walk, Kensington Market, and the Cedarvale Ravine, as some examples.

Upon entering the middle school, students engage in educational travel experiences that reach beyond the GTA. Milestones of their time at Paul Penna DJDS, these trips provide exciting opportunities for students to see a different city and have a unique social experience with their peers. Beginning with a camp-based retreat in September, field trips are highlights of each school year. The Grade 6 class visits Ottawa for an action-packed 2 nights and 3 days. The Grade 7 and 8 trips are still in the development stage.

[Pictured] – The middle school students had a wonderful 3 days trip to Ottawa where they visited key tourist attractions and had fun experiences with their peers.
