The Language Arts program focuses on reading, writing, speaking, and media literacy. The reading list is carefully curated to pull on Jewish themes as well as contemporary themes that are most relevant in our world. Students read works by authors from diverse backgrounds and explore different types of literary forms. Our students spend their middle school years fine-tuning their writer’s craft. They learn multiple forms of written expression and leave Grade 8 with strong essay writing skills, a core component of high school language arts learning.
