The day runs from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM for SK to Grade 5 and 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM for Grade 6-8, with shorter breaks for recess and lunch. In the winter months, we dismiss at 2:30 pm on Fridays.

Beforecare

We offer a limited Beforecare program, beginning at 8:00 am. Families interested in this program should contact the school office at schooloffice@djds.ca or 416-928-3537. 

Aftercare

The MNjcc, where we are housed, runs an Aftercare program, as well as a School’s Out program, which provides care for Paul Penna DJDS students on early dismissal days, and on days when there are no classes. 

The MNjcc After School Program runs every weekday, Monday to Friday for the whole TDSB and PPDJDS academic school year. The program provides a fun, safe, age-appropriate program for children ages 4-12. Participants will be offered a variety of interesting opportunities including art, yoga, drama, basketball, swimming, pottery, soccer and much more! The specially trained staff are all CPR/First Aid trained and have had Vulnerable Screening done. The MNJcc program is licensed by the Ministry of Education.  For more information, contact annas@mnjcc.org.
