Sherry Dayton

Sherry Dayton has been working as a Casting Director for the past 15 years and is a partner in Dayton/Walters Casting. After graduating from McMaster University, Sherry attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and began her casting career shortly thereafter.

Sherry feels very fortunate to have worked with some of the best creative teams in the business including Mel Brooks, Susan Stroman, Des McAnuff, Lynn Ahrens & Stephen Flaherty. Selected theatrical credits include: Jersey Boys (Dancap Productions), Oliver (Stratford Festival), Hairspray, The Producers, Medea (Mirvish Productions). For Livent Inc. casting includes Ragtime (Toronto, Broadway, Los Angeles), Seussical (Original Broadway Cast), Fosse, ShowBoat, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, The Phantom of the Opera and Sunset Boulevard.

Sherry has cast several animated television series and she is currently working on Season 2 of the Family Channel hit show, Really Me.

Sherry is a proud member of the Casting Society of America and an even prouder mom to Jonah (grade 6) and Andrew (grade 3), both students at Paul Penna DJDS.
