Welcome to Paul Penna Downtown Jewish Day School. The School was founded in 1998 to address the growing need for a Jewish day school in downtown Toronto. We are a dynamic Jewish day school committed to academic excellence in a supportive environment.

Paul Penna DJDS is unique not only in its downtown location but also in its pluralistic, egalitarian, and multi-faceted approach to Jewish day school education. Through a rich academic and arts enhanced curriculum and active commitment to social justice, SK to Grade 8 students are primed to make significant, meaningful contributions to the diverse community, today and in the future.

Applications are accepted by mail or in person on an on-going basis. Applications are dated as they are received, and openings are filled accordingly. Priority is given to siblings of students currently in the school, and we strive to maintain gender balance.

In order to be considered for admission to the school, we require a completed application form, a student history questionnaire and an authorization release, along with a $500 deposit.
