Martin Davidson
Martin Davidson is an architect and principal at Diamond and Schmitt Architects, a practice that has received national and international recognition for innovative design excellence across a broad range of projects. In 2005, it was named one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies. Martin is a past Chair of the Toronto Society of Architects and has built architectural projects in Jerusalem, New York and Toronto. He has been engaged in issues of Jewish identity through working with numerous volunteer and professional Jewish organizations over the last twenty years. Martin brings to the board his experience in business management, in developing direction and policy on staffing, human resources and employment equity issues and promoting sustainable practices in our lives. He is a strong advocate for the pluralistic and diverse approach of the school and its commitment in sustaining a downtown urban Jewish culture.
